Kindergarten Bear Research
Welcome to our website!
In Kindergarten, we are learning to retell information from non-fiction materials.
Photos: Students observed photos of different kinds of bears in different environments. Students were invited to share any facts that they learned.
Books: After listening to texts read aloud by the teacher, each student gave one fact about bears.
Websites: Students went onto National Geographic Kids online to learn about polar bears. After watching video footage of a mother polar bear and her cubs, each student gave one fact that they extracted from the video.
After each material, each student gave one fact about bears. We sorted their information onto a chart under the headings What do they look like?, Where do they live?, What do they eat?, What do they do? and InterestingFacts. The information collected from our research is in this website. Thank you for visiting, we hope you enjoyed learning about bears.
